Obituary for Robert Ketner
Rev. Robert E. Ketner, 83, of North Spring Street, Everett, PA; went home to be the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 22, 1930 in Henrietta, Pennsylvania a son of the late Chalmer and Sadie (Barnett) Ketner. He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia (Antonides). On March 15, 1975 he married Harriet L. (Jones) Ketner.
Along with his wife he is survived by the following family: Children:

Deborah Ketner married to Steve Kulish, Queens, NY Darleen Ketner married to Peter DeArruda, Queens, NY
Sisters: Jean Daugherty, Altoona, PA Rose married to Donald McNally, Martinsburg, PA Shirley married to Tom Whittlesey, Tulsa, OK
Grandchildren: Robert, Lisa, Steve Robert, John, Christina and Stefanie
Great Grandchildren: Stephen and Brittany
Great Great Grandchild: Bentley
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Ruth Ketner and the following siblings: Clara Pearson, Flora Kauffman, Charles Raymond Ketner, Mary Pearson, David Ketner, Katherine Ketner, Ruth Ketner, Harold Lloyd Ketner, Chalmer Ketner, Jr. He was a graduate of Martinsburg High School Class of 1949 and after graduation served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute Class of 1956.
He worked for E.F. Smith Trucking as a parts manager for seventeen years. Rev. Ketner was an ordained Assembly of God pastor. He served as a minister from 1956 until his retirement in 1993. After retirement he served as a visiting pastor for Everett Assembly of God until 2013. He enjoyed hunting, reading and following the Pittsburgh Pirates. Friends will be received on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett and on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Everett Assembly of God. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Everett Assembly of God Church with Pastor John Wiley and Pastor Virgil Frazier officiating. Burial will be held privately at Millerstown Cemetery, Woodbury.
